Welcome to week 2! Glad we survived the chaos of forms, new ChromeBooks, and learning all those new procedures for all your new classes. This week, we will be working on the following:

Vocab 1, cuisine

Monday, Aug 21 - Students will be enrolled into my Google Classroom, Quizlet, and students will receive their first spelling list. We will be working on newsela.com today, focusing on the eclipse and it's history.

Tues, Aug 22 - Students will be working on activity 1.2 in SpringBoard. 1.1 Activity 1.1 targets: students will preview vocabulary used within the unit, summarize skills needed for the embedded assessment, and understand our essential questions for unit 1.

Wed, Aug 23 - Activity 1.2 targets: students will paraphrase and analyze quotes related to choice, and consider the choices you make as a reader and writer.

Thurs, Aug 24 - Star testing today - students will be placed in BOLD classes based on their Star test results, so make sure to emphasis the importance of doing your best on this test, even though it is not for a grade.

Fri, Aug 25 - Vocab test, library day.
