Warmups: 3 minute writing prompts

Wednesday, Jan 3: Activity 3.1 - previewing the unit. Students will begin reading Tangerine by Edward Bloor on Monday, Jan 8th. exit slip: students describe what it is like to eat a tangerine.

Thursday, Jan 4: Peeling a tangerine activity. Students will focus on writing vivid imagery and sensory details in a short narrative.

Friday, Jan 5: Sharing narratives about peeling a tangerine and examining the cover of Tangerine novel. Exit slip: students will make predictions about what they think will happen in the story.
