Monday, Jan 29 - Students completing activity 3.6 with their writing groups. Reading in class: journal entries for Monday Sept 11 - Friday, Sept 15 (pages 77-94). ​ Double Entry Journal about reacting to a stressful situation at school like Paul did. Would they be a hero? Or would they be saving themselves?

Tuesday, Jan 30 - Reading quiz over pages 77 - 94. Students will be working together to fill out their choices and consequences chart with information from pages 77-94. Activity 3.8, SIFTTing chart on Google Classroom.

Wednesday, Jan 31 - Double entry journal: There are several incidents in our readings for this week. Which event do you relate to the most and why? Choices may include the death of someone close to you, changing schools, struggling to remember things from the past, not getting along with your sibling, feeling like you don't fit in. Class discussion about the text so far, and completion of activity 3.8 if necessary. Students will be given time to read pages 95-112.

Thursday, Feb 1 - Double Entry Journal: How does Paul's perspective limit or change our perception of his surroundings? Class discussion about Perspective vs. point of view, limitations to reader's knowledge of situations, and how tone is changed based on the narrator.
